Debut to North America: The newly developed case packer Elematic 3001 features high ergonomics and easy operation. Take a preview and see the video here, or visit us at PackExpo International when we debut the machine to North America on our booth S-3514 in Chicago, Illinois, USA, November 2 to 5.
What are the main characteristics of the Elematic 3001 case packer?
Ergonomic features facilitating operation are the main characteristics of the new case packer. One of them is the low blank magazine height. Also the hot melt system has been optimized with an external granulate container. The advantage: Protection from burns when refilling glue granulate. Another ergonomic aspect is the easy format changeover, especially important as the Elematic 3001 can handle multiple formats and retail-ready pack styles. Thanks to the Elematic Click system operators won’t need any tools for a fast, clear, easy and reproducible format changeover. When parts lock into place a click sound indicates acoustically and a red distance piece optically the successful format changeover. The result: higher efficiency, less corrections and errors compared to using scales.
Following essential principles of the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) concept, the machine has a clear concept and a modular structure with fewer components. Wide guard doors and an open machine design enhance visibility and make the machine operation process transparent for the operator. Also improved is the machine’s accessibility, with design-integrated conduits that facilitate operation and cleanability. All wiring and cables are hidden and protected from dirt and damage.
Clear status indications show when maintenance is due. This helps eliminate unplanned downtime and increases productivity while at the same time decreasing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for manufacturers.
The control cabinet is integrated on board, reducing the machine’s footprint and facilitating integration into production lines. These features also allow the Elematic 3001 to meet critical sea and air freight standards, helping decrease international transportation costs.
Introduced only a year ago in Europe, the Elematic 3001 has already been successfully sold in Europe and North America. Bernhard Vaihinger, head of product management, innovation and technology at Bosch Packaging Systems GmbH, a Bosch Packaging Technology company, stated, “Based on the positive feedback from prospects and customers in Europe, we expect the Elematic 3001 will be just as well-received in North America. Our main focus with this machine is to provide a solution that meets the changing needs of manufacturers worldwide while maintaining the high standard that Bosch is known for.”
The Elematic 3001 is on display at Bosch’s booth S-3514 in the South Hall at McCormick Place, Chicago, IL, November 2 to 5, 2014.
